From 7 points to 31 points after appeal. The Tribunal went ahead without me and I won with flying colours. Thanks Benefits and Work, I've been a member since "Welfare Reform" raised it's ugly ugly head. Now I've got £5,580 in back pay!

That's terrific news, well done.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result, I would give them a call to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.

Good.....sorry it has taken you so long...I dont know the nature of your disabilities, but how on earth could somebody who attracts 31 points on appeal only get given 7 initially ?? It just shows how blinkered they must be

so pleased to hear this. well done but it does show how wrong this whole system is. I am still waiting tribunal date after losing my enhanced rate of care and all of my mobility. However there have been letters back and forward to the courts because DWP omitted some evidence from the bundle of papers ….. and so it continues. Your message gives me a bit of hope that the papers are being read properly. cheers. Linda

Pleased to hear that you won your appeal. Do you have to pay tax on your back pay? Few years ago I went to tribunal, went to court, and won, only to have to pay tax on the amount I had in back pay. Always wondered if it was because of my NHS I’ll health pension. Made me very cross to have to pay it and made them accept £12 a month. Do hope you get to keep yours

Hillary

PIP is not a taxable benefit, was your appeal for ESA?
