Thank you to all at B&W for your help and advice. I had my first re-assessment for ESA and was kept in the support group. It is thanks to your website and the unfailing moderators, that make the difference to all of us, who struggle with this unjust government system. Well done and keep up the fantastic work, worth every penny of the subscription. i have recently applied for PIP, have had my assessment and am waiting to find out my fate, will keep you posted !!!!!!

Thanks Gordon. Because I have recently been placed back in the support group for ESA, would that mean I would get the higher rate component of PIP ?? The points system for ESA and PIP seem so simular. My ESA face to face was only 3 weeks before my PIP face to face and the same questions in respect of my mental health were asked, i felt I was being asked exactly the same both times. To be placed in the support group, you need 12 points which i have been awarded for ESA support group, whats the difference for PIP ??

I'm afraid they are separate benefits, even where there are crossovers in the activities the criteria are actually different, it's perfectly possible to meet the criteria for the SG and not for any award of PIP.
