We don’t know how long we have to wait for his payments or if it will be back dated does anyone know.?

Very pleased for your son, well done.
Back pay should take no more than a couple of weeks, it should be backdated to the date of the Decision if this was a reassessment or the beginning of week 14 of his claim if it was a new claim for ESA.
