PIP Mand Recon Decision - From 1 yr to ongoing

First if all, I'd like to thank all the team at B&W for the amazing service you provide. I can't imagine what life for all of us would be without it.
In fact, I sometimes go cold with the thought that in 2011, when all my reassessments began, only found out about you by accident. And since then, all local advice centres have closed.

Anyway: I sent in a PIP MR after a difficult assessment, stuffed with untruths and with a shorter award than last time.
I suggested that my award should last until my retirement in 2022. I found out that ATOS has since revised its review recommendation to no further review.

I received a decision letter which takes my award from one year to "ongoing." Of coutd I'm relieved, but there is a question.

Can I ask: does that mean, in practice , that I can be re-assessed at random at any time? At least with a fixed period, you can put this process to one side for a period of time. Now I don't know what to think.

Has anybody else been given a PIP ongoing award? How does it work out in practice? I don't know whether to be pleased or a bit anxious as to when I'll be reviewed.

Could the DWPnot have just extended the award to my retirement date? Is there a different calculation on their part when they set the claim to ongoing?

And a final query for the panel. My ESA is due to end later in 2017 and I am in the SG. ATOS PIP assessment has found me unable to walk more than 20 metres, so I get the higher rate, despite getting zero in tbe planning journeys descriptor. This, as we know, is the awkward one. But there is no point in taking it further.

Suppose at ESA re-assessment, they find me able to walk further? Will the PIP assessment in this regard carry any weight, and could or should I point to it? Could the fact that the ESA reassessment will be within 12 months of the PIP one, make the PIP assessment distance more relevant, in that it is less likely that things would have changed in that short space of time?

I got 2027 on going award PIP

I used my PIP report to show that I had been judged unable to walk more than 50 meters, then I addressed the wheelchair issue.
