PIP Tribunal Won [Mental Health]

Hello guys.

I was failed in my assessment this April, so I sought advice from the local welfare rights who took on my case. One of their main arguments [I'll have to request a copy of their statement of reasons on my behalf] was that the health assessment was fully weighted towards physical health conditions - when I met the rights team for the first time, the lady who'd taken on my case had noted there was nothing in the assessment about mental health at all. This might be a point worth checking for some people.

Anyway. I had my first tribunal adjourned this September so I could show more evidence. My condition makes it tought to keep a grip on paperwork - and I got my decision today, after the second meeting of the tribunal occured on the 15th November.

Found in my favor on both counts. I was receiving standard daily living, which was reinstated, and to my surprise I was awarded 10 points for mobility.

Please don't let your adviser request a Statement of Reasons on your behalf! DWP will get one too and, as this is the first step in trying to take this decision to the Upper Tier Tribunal, it might give then ideas that they did not otherwise consider!

I won't. I'm happy with the outcome and don't want to take it to the UTT. What I meant to say is I'm curious to see how my advisor and her assistant wrote their submission papers for my case? I know what their main arguments were but I guess I'm just curious?

I don't mean a proper statement of reasons. But either way perhaps it's best I just keep mum.

There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't ask your adviser for a copy of their submission if they haven't already given you one.

Thanks. That's exactly what I'm after. Just couldn't remember the name. I'd like a copy for my records - but I think it'll really help and show me what to focus on when reassessments come around, not accounting for developments [positive or negative] from how I am atm. I just find it useful to have outside input given this condition really messes my thought processes up.
