PIP APPEAL was created by despair
Hi All just wanted to confirm after the long and stressful process I have had my Appeal Upheld and awarded enhanced rate for both components . A genuine case deserves a fair award and that's what I feel I finally got from the Tribunal by way of points and descriptors . I would add the Macmillan Benefits Officer made my submissions for me after my Mandatory Recondideration was refused written up for me by my carer upon a Medical Assessment!! This was thereafter challenged accurately by The Representative in written submissions and oral evidence given by myself was finally seen for what it is. I felt like giving up so many times because of the stress but would urge anyone to keep with it and state your case in person at Appeal ! Thank you to this site too for information and regular updates in order to feel more positive about the complicated process of appeals

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Congratulations I am so pleased for you. Do you mind me asking you how long it was from appeal submission until your date for tribunal. Thank you xxx

Hi Bb,
As this is not really a "chat forum" where Moderators tend to respond to the vast majority of members queries, you cannot rely on receiving a response from other members, although they may.
Once most members have gone through the processes, the tend not to look at the forum or post again until another Assessment/Re-assessment or problem crops up.
To answer your query, the average wait time presently from the time of submitting an appeal to the actual hearing is 8-12 weeks.
