Placed in ESA support group

After waiting an agonising 9 months from submittal of the ESA ATOS form, until my assessment, I have been placed in the support group. The whole experience I found to be extremely stressful, constant anxiety waiting for the letter to come, I felt that I could not live my life comfortably, such was the stress that this new system of claiming placed upon me, and of course, has placed on many others. At times, I felt like giving up and ending it all.

There should be no more than a month wait from submittal of form to assessment. Any time more than this is a heavy burden placed upon vulnerable people, who do not need the high levels of anxiety that this brings. It is a disgrace. So while I am celebrating my news, my celebration is muted, as I am fully aware that there are many others experiencing exactly the ordeal that I have just been through.
