ESA Reassesment Success! was created by Scuttlebroom
I just wanted to thank you guys for the excellent support offered on this site, a very worthwhile subscription, and here is my story:
I have been on ESA for a few years and was placed in the support group 2 years ago, and I rrecived the dreaded whote ATOS ESA50 form back in January with my deadline being Friday 13th February! I duly had a very kind friend complete the online form for me, sent it off with 1st Class Royal Mail proof of delivery, they reviced it on Tuesday 10th February, and today o recived a text from the DWP saying "Following your Work Capability Assesment, your Employment Support Allowance will continue to be paid. You do not need to send on fit notes until further notice."
Confused but hopeful I rang the DWP who answered straight away (something I had not experienced before!) and they advised me that I was still in the support group for a further 2 years, and I simply requiested my ESA85A medicla report form, to be sent for my records.
This is the quickest reassesment I have ever had, and not to have a medical is a huge relief, as I doubt I would be able to make it!
I am presuming that due to the backlog of claims, they simply looked at my reassesment and simply gave me a further 2 years, as my condition has worsended and there is no way I will recover, and luckily I have a very good consultant doctor who simply updates a letter for me any time I require one.
Now all I need to watch put for is being assed for PIP when they decide my indefinate DLA is due to be stopped! As I am in London, I have no idea when it wil be!
Once again, your guides and helpful forum posts has been a real help and comfort knowing I am not alone!
