Ib to ESA support Group Sucess was created by sha1971
16 months ago i sent my ESA50 form to Atos , i am being transferred from ib to esa, today i got a phonecall from DWP stating that a desicion has been made without a face to face and i will be placed in the ESA support group , the lady said i would be getting a p45 for my Ib that's all i could remember from the call plus the fact i would be getting a letter stating all this in post.
is it usual for DWP to ring up and tell you all this ? she didn't ask me any questions other than security questions.
I am so relieved i had a bit of cry , without a doubt if it wasn't for Benefit and work there is no way i would of being able to get through this , thank you so much

Many congratulations on the award and thank you for your comments about B&W.
The DWP seem to be going through a touchy feely phase and are phoning claimants with successful outcomes as well as bad ones. Personally I am terrified every morning when the post arrives and I cannot imagine how unnerving it must be to have them call you up on the phone, but perhaps I am being unfair to them.

Congratulations on the award. I agree totally with what you have to
say about B & W.
I had to wait over 70 weeks. on my IB transfer too, but I did not
get a phone call just the letter.
I do know how you feel waiting for an extra year and more for a
reply from these people expecting the brown envelope every day of that time.
You are right, it has been emotional.

Hi Gordon
I would like to say thank you for sharing you are terrified every morning when the post arrives. It almost brought a tear to my eye as that is exactly how I feel too and I would imagine there are many others in the exact same position.
Your post also highlighted that you have your own stress and worry and yet you and the other B&W staff take the time while going through all of that to help everyone here on the forum.
I would just like to say again, a big thank you to B&W and the great work you all do.
Congratulations sha, it must be a huge relief to know you finally have been successful and now in the Support Group.

I am still waiting for a decision regarding transfer from IB to ESA . My esa50 was returned in Oct 2014. I hope that I hear soon in the same way that you did.
