dla renewal was created by crommy
just to give hope to others i sent my dla renewal form off about 2 weeks ago with no supporting evidence.i used the guidlines from this site.i got a letter saturday confirming my dla for hrm and mrc was awarded for an indefinate period.well the indefinate i suppose means till they transfer me over to pip.
they used my esa medical report from last november as evidence so no need for another medical.happy days i wish everybody else a speedy decision.thx again to the site for there guidelines.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

That's great news crommy! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W Although the format of the ESA from is similar to the one for PIP, the descriptors are very different (although I believe it is legally possible for the ESA forms to be used by DWP as information for the PIP claim).

thx mrs h
it would make sense to use the one medical for all claims
it would save alot of time stress and money in the long term

Yes MHB,
I think it was Esther McVey who stated that ESA Med Reports would not be used by The DWP for PIP assessments.
If I remember correctly, this was because some claimant's ESA Med Reports were being used by The DWP negatively to stop or deny DLA renewals/claims.
As you rightly state, the qualifying criteria for PIP and ESA do differ.
However, I also can see no problem in a PIP claimant providing an ESA Med Report as supporting evidence with a PIP claim, if it is supportive of said claim.
