I sent copies of all medical reports from his cardiologist, a physio report and a GP letter.I wrote a lot and I mean a lot of pages, explaining how his illness affects his daily life.
Just one question, unlike DLA there was no date to say when he would be reviewed next so do I contact them for this? Thanks

You will need to support your request with a letter from your GP explaining why you cannot attend an ATOS assessment centre, even with this, ATOS are not obliged to provide one.i have different types of arthritis.fibromyalgia. and visual impairment.a complete detached retinia in right eye. 6 over 38 as best corrected vision. i have completed esa form sent it in with a letter from nurologist. letter from my hearing consultant and my visual impairment certificate from my eye surgeon. i am still under him as i have water retentian in my left eye.this has been going on for 2yrs and 4 months two eye surgerios.but they are still asking me to go for an assement. i have asked for a home visit. as i had a home visit for my dlaa. where do i stand
Good luck

If you are unable or would find it extremely difficult to attend a medical assessment, you can ask for a domiciliary assessment. The means that the assessment can be carried out at home, but as mentioned in an earlier post you will need to have compelling evidence from your GP.
If Atos refuse your request for a domiciliary assessment despite evidence from your doctor, you will have to attend for the medical assessment, but you may have a case under the terms of section 20 - 22 of the Equality Act 2010.
If you decide to pursue this course of action, it is essential that you should seek expert legal advice in the first instance. See:-
