(1) Use the electronic form found at www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/esa1.pdf. It is excellent. It allows the font to decrease in size if you want to type in more information. You can give far more info using the electronic version.
(2) Fill it in over a few weeks. You can then review it - it's amazing what you forget.
(3) Fill it in with a close friend or partner. If you've been ill for a number of years, that is your 'normal'. Another person will have a more realistic view of what constitutes 'normal', especially in the workplace.
(4) Be truthful and give examples of what you can do and what you find difficult.

My husband has just been awarded ESA in the Support Group without an interview. We used this website and got excellent advice but I'd like to add some of my own.

Conratulations S, on your husband being put into the support group without the need for a face to face assessment.
Good advice also, with regards to the Pdf version of the ESA50.
cheers

Hi again S,
I've just noticed that the link that you provided, is for form ESA1, which is used for new claims of ESA.
I think you meant to post a link to the Pdf ESA50, which can be downloaded and saved from this link. :
www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/...lasset/dg_195544.pdf
Would you like me to edit your link and put the correct one in?.
cheers

All it states is this;
This questionnaire is also available to download to your computer to fill in. But you must post it back in the envelope we have sent you.
Best wishes,
Rachel
