ESA success - now in WRAG was created by lochlisa
as you may know I sent my DLA tribunal result to DM last week about my ESA claim.
On saturday got letter advising that I had been placed in ESA WRAG and that no appeal will now take place.
Now, I know that you can be placed in Support group from the start of your ESA claim but can I ask to be put in WRAG from the start of my claim as the condition that qualifies me for WRAG has now been proven to be in place at the time I made the initial claim?
If not does this mean I will be in WRAG from week 14 of the ESA claim and that I should be entitled to a back payment as I am now in week 34?
I am still sure I should be in the Support group but I will think about that for a few days before deciding what to do, if anything.
If anyone is thinking about giving up on getting incorrect decisions challenged then please take heart from my own experience and just keep at them!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi,
The assessment phase applies to almost all claimants other than people who are terminally ill. You will, however, be due your work related activity component from the end of the assessment phase until now, so you should receive a backdated payment in the near future.

Not to put a downer on anything but isn't the wrag group to be time limited to one or two years then you either get put on to JSA or have to have another medical and hope to be in the support group.
