Can i ask one more question please?
Since being awarded DLA i have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, i'm not looking to increase my DLA in anyway at all as when filling out my forms i did write down all my painful symptoms although at that time i wasn't aware it was yet another medical condition.
My question is do i need to inform DWP of the additional condition that i now have? Or can i just leave well alone, i don't want another decision maker looking at my claim and changing their minds and over turning the original award?!
Thank you in advance

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You should notify DWP of any changes in your condition that might affect the rate of DLA. If you have just been given a new diagnosis - without any change in your care and/or mobility needs - then I don't see that you need to do anything at this stage.

hello,
personally i would let sleeping dogs lie, as you do run the risk of your award being looked at again and from personal experience, as fibro is a fluctuating condition you may find that the D/M may just look at the claim as a fresh claim!!!!
Good Luck.
Radhika.
