Successful DLA Application

I just want to thank everyone here, and especially the people who wrote the guides, for my DLA application being successful. I have what my consultant describes as 'very severe spinal arthritis and severe stenosis' with consequent bladder control difficulties. Despite all the medical evidence I provided I had a visit from an Atos doctor last week, and she was actually very nice. I did wonder if that was deceptive.

Thanks to the Benefits & Works guides, I've received a five-year DLA award of higher rate mobility and highest rate care. I can't thank you enough. I've spread the word among people I know that everyone thinking of making a claim should be a member here, and study the guides very carefully. Especially, think about all your activities to the smallest detail, and write down all the problems. It's so easy to overlook details that might help when you're so used to 'trying to manage'. I added about 20 printed A4 pages to my application.

It's going to make such a difference to my life.
