hi lily yes i had speacialist letters submitted -i did have advice from the cab they said that i should never have been placed in the wrag group in the first place hope i have helped just stick with it

looks to me like the whole process becomes a revolving door syndrome and that life on benefits will never be the same.....eg: YOU CAN'T RELAX EVEN IF YOU EVENTUALLY GET sUPPORT gROUP...it starts all over again.

my process started 23 dec 2011, appeal papers sent 18 april 2012 and still waiting!!!!!!!!!!

The government have made it very clear that no-one will be allowed to 'languish on benefits' (their words, not mine!) in the future without periodic reassessments. These can vary from 3 months to 3 years. One would hope that people with incurable and/or progressive conditions would get the longest awards but, at the moment at least, it seems to be determined on the whim of a DM!

comments appreciated mrs h, as didn't know a 3 year award was possible, however, i personally don't think i'd be able to trust whatever award's given, as i'll be forever expecting another envelope regardless of the length of award, judging by what's happening to every one out there!!

You make a good point as the length of the award is only advisory and DWP can decide to reassess at any stage!
