Good evening to you all.
Congratulations to Sammylou for migrating into the Support Group.
I have a quick question for the Mods or anyone else who may be able to advise with regards to Support Group criteria.
Your great guides offer enough info to decribe each descriptor.
My question is that after each descriptor should one sate that they feel they qualify for Support Group???
ie, after explaining Physical problems can one state at the ene "that due to above mentioned problems" i should?qualify for the Support Groupand so on throughout the ESA50????
As this will highlight each ares to Atos and D/M.
Thanks.
Radhika.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thank you Gordon,
Can one also state on the ESA form (section 16 coping with social situations)that a medical would be detremental to their heath and state exactly why,so Atos and D/M can see that one is not just trying to avoid a medical!!!!
My husband had a heart attack last november and has been advised by all hs treating consultants that he should avoid sressful situations as this could lead to another one.
Many thanks.

Again, you can state this, but bear in mind that ATOS are unlikely to take any notice of it unless i is supported, at the very least, by a letter from your GP to the same effect.

Thank you Gordon.
GP is extreemly supportive and is in the process of writting a medical report for hubby and has clearly stated that he will provide proof that hubby has had a heart attack and will also be stating in his report that stressful situations should be avoided.
Just thought if highlighted on form would add weight!!!

If you reference your statement on the ESA50 to the GP's letter, then this should draw both the ATOS "doctors" and DWP DM's attention to it.
Good luck
