Assume that the Decision Maker has no medical knowledge at all, the ATOS HCPs are there to provide medical info where needed.

My understanding is that HCP's are trained in the use of medical terminology and where appropriate will advise the DWP DM on what this means in laymans terms.

Oh Dear!!!!
What if Atos HCP has no knowledge or misinterpratates report!!!!
Do you think it would be a good idea to reiterate what my understanding of the report is as clearly explained by GP and state this on the ESA form that GP has said the report means this----???

I think you may be in danger of over thinking what needs to go on the form :)

Unless you have medical qualifications that mean that you could explain this report with authority, it might be better to let the professionals do it for you.

Hi ive been ill so couldnt answer your questions before.
I had to have proof of disabilities, illnesses. I used a discharge letter from hospital that listed them all.
I was honest with the ot and told her exactly why i needed a report.
I asked for a wheelchair assessment. She examined me thoroughly and asked loads of questions. It took one hour and i was worn out, but it wasnt physical. Her report was comprehensive and gave thorough detail as to why a wheelchair would be damaging to me.
It was also done in my home so this minimised stress.
I do know that it is very very hard to get a test in my area on the nhs.
I have used the private system before on occasion. To diagnose my fibro was the main one. Gp was too dismissive for too long.
What area do you live in? I can give you ot dtails if you are near me
