That is good news, thank you for letting us know. Thanks also for your kind words about this site :) Let's hope that you are left alone for a long time before the transfer to PIP!

Hi pasti,

PIP will be introduced between 2013 -2016 for those aged 16-64 years of age.

As you will be at least 66 years old when PIP is introduced you will not be affected, you will remain on DLA HRM & HRC so long as your condition(s) don't improve.

However, all DLA claimants with indefinite awards can have their entitlement checked
under Right Payment Programme although the chances of you being selected are negligible.

To reiterate what Mrs Hurtyback has stated, thank you for your kind words about Benefits and Work, most appreciated. :) We don't always get things right, but we do try :P

Best wishes and have a nice weekend (despite the weather  )

Jim

Excellent news. I know you were extremely stressed by the situation.

I sent my form back on or around the 26th March. Phoned up June 1st to ensure they had received it and was told yes it's still being dealt with. Asked what stage it was at and they said it hadn't been looked at as of yet.

It's a terribly stressful situation everyday waiting for the post and half hoping no brown envelope drops on the mat. Then sighing a sigh of relief when it doesn't then worrying why not!

Have a great weekend pastit and probably the first decent nights sleep for months.

Iff you don't mind me asking how long did you have to wait after your last medical until you got your decision?
