Good news about DLA

I have been awarded low mobility and high care for PTSD, agoraphobia and depression.
I have not been informed by letter yet, so I won't celebrate until I get it, but am feeling more cheerful.
Does anyone know if this will affect my ESA? I am currently in the support group.
The help provided by Benefits and Work has been invaluable in all of my dealings with the benefits agencies and would recommend to everyone.

I rang the disability place today and they told me over the phone that my application has been successful.

Hi,
Congratulations on your DLA result. Hopefully the award letter will not take too long to arrive with you.
With regards to your ESA, your successful DLA award shouldn't affect it, unless there is something glaringly bizarre in your case.
However when your ESA is due for review, the medical report maybe referred to when making the decision as there is a degree of overlap between the two benefits, but in general they are different benefits paid for different reasons and you maybe subject to a Work Capability Assessment (ESA Medical) whenever your case is reviewed.
