MP's support was created by fedupn45
I failed my medical to the amazement of myself, my doctor and everyone who knows what I have through. Because of my depression my Mum took it upon herself to take all my paperwork to the drop in centre of our MP. First of all she wrote to the House of Commons, and I received an immediate reply. I was also contacted by the local office saying they were keen to help and they got on to it straight away, phoning the jobcentre themselves. Even they can see how unfair the system is!!! My advice is go and see your MP asap and get their help! I can't praise them enough and they have at least given me some hope in my appeal, and if nothing comes from it, I know that everything possible has been done.

Hi,

I agree that MPs should be involved wherever possible. Even if they do nothing useful in a particular case, the more trouble they are put to the more interest they are likely to have in trying to improve the administration of benefits.

Good luck with your appeal,

Steve

Google Find your MP and email them for help. The more people that ask for help or complain will highlight how unjust all of us feel about cuts in benefits.

Thank you for your comments and support. My MP's office immediately went into action and phoned the jobcentre on my behalf, and they were appauled at even trying to get to someone (other than the dreaded call centre) who knows about my case, so they know now first hand the frustration we are having to deal with whilst being ill, weary with the "system" and mostly with little fight left in us!! I must admit it was my Mum who went down this route for me, as I had lost the will. The fact that my MP actually wrote and immediately was interested in me has boosted my confidence a little.

I say approach your MP, if more do this, we may just make a difference who knows!!

What if your MP is Chris Grayling?
