I've never understood the concept of ESA being about what you can do, either.

Maybe it's something to do with the fact that there are two groups, and the WRAG is for claimants who in theory can do work-related activities?

One thing there is no getting away from is that ESA85s are all about the things you can do, however irrelevant to the WCA they are!

I think that "in theory" are the operative words, but that is not something a claimant can always do in practice which of course will not make the slightest bit difference to Atos/the DWP.

As yet I have not had to accustom myself with an ESA85, but judging by the amount of negative feedback in the forum about this document, it often seems to be a work of fiction for a multitude of reasons.

I'm sure i read somewhere on rightsnet Chris Grayling had "downgraded atos reports and said further medical evidence" had to be taken in to consideration, he was quoted has saying atos should not rubber stamp medicals

You did indeed read this headline on Rightsnet on 11 May from Grayling.

Unfortunately, unless a claimant wishes to fork out a substantial sum of money to subscribe to Rightsnet, it is not possible to access the entire article.
