So are you saying that if someone says yes to needing supervision to keep themselves safe and it is as result of suffering with a physical condition which causes dizziness then they won't score points for that as it is under mental?

Yes, that's how I understand the test works. You need to have a mental disability to score points for the MH test.

Below is an example (scroll down to Activity 11) of how a tribunal viewed somebody with mental health problems claiming activity 11 (remaining conscious).

No, there is a different test to get into the support group. Please refer to the guides in the ESA area.

Thanks Derek, much appreciated, filling in my ESA50 has just got even harder, I have two chronic physical conditions both of which have no cure but are not conditions that would have me exempt but some of the places I thought I would score points were in the mental section but looks like I can't after all.

As a matter of interest, have you managed to score any points for mental health previously, either under the WCA or PCA?

Last time I filled in the IB form was December 2010 - this is the first time for the new form - I am also on lower rate care and mobility as well (1997).
