Can you confirm on which news programme you saw this information about lower rate mobility/care components claimants "being targeted?"
there has been talk on news over the last few days I heard some MP on bbc radio 4 news speak of the fact its the lower rate care they are getting rid of and he spoke of how the "meal test" is out of date blah blah people have frozen meals and micro waves
one of the other disability site has some blurb saying the same thing in different words and of course in the draft regulations for pip they now talk of heating ie microwave not lifting pots and pans as per the old way
“cook” means heat food at or above waist height;

We need some definitive information on this, so I've asked my MP to raise this with IDS. Too much speculation on this at the moment, and also about what will happen to those currently over state pension age who cannot claim PIP. Again, this will be raised by my MP, and I'll post more when I get his reply.
Disability alliance have some info on this and point out that even if they do as many are saying and just get rid of lower rate care that does not get them the 20% cut in spending they want

I bought their Disability Rights Handbook from Edition 1 ( published 34 years ago) up to the 34th Edition, ( 2009 -2010) but no longer subscribe as I think they've lost their way.
