Tribunal Today - Very Tough

I had my tribunal today.

I found it very difficult. Questions from one particular party (surgeon) were very hard, on continence issues. Tried to answer as best I could.

Lawyer changed tack a little at the end and asked about visual problems and awareness of hazard and how it affects me in everyday life. Also asked my husband a few questions about how I get on too. Answered as thoroughly as possible and told her I had no awareness, and do not know what is going on around me and am a danger to myself and others. Have no confidence if I go anywhere and cannot go out on my own due to danger. Husband also said I am extremely apprehensive about anything, even stepping outside front door since I've had sight problems.

Surgeon then put further pressure on me by asking if I could see what the clerk was doing in the room. She was sitting at a desk and typing. Said I could tell that by virtue of the sounds I could hear. What else could I say? It did not exactly take the brain of Britain to figure it out. Lawyer lady stopped him from questioning me about it further by saying he had asked enough questions.

Went away without a decision. Was told they would send one out to me. Not sure what to think now.

Got to wait for something to arrive next week.

I'm pleased you managed to get through your hearing, although it was tough.

And I agree, it was a daft question. Could he not have asked what colour eyes she has?

well done for getting through a tough day, if I remeber back to when you first posted about this matter, you said about not using pads and just beimng near the loo, so it was a done deal they where going to ask probing questions, but if you answered the best you can all you can do now is keep your fingers crossed

a surgeon would always have to ask lots of questions as all they do is cut and stich

Hi

He's an ENT Surgeon. Perhaps that's why he asked lots of question about eyes, 'cos he avoided them when he did his medical training?
