i was basically told that fibromyalgia wasnt a recognised condition, i also have post traumatic stress due to a knife attack were a guy tried to rape me they basically said it happend in 96 are you not over it yet, i have all the usual medical conditions associated with fibromyalgia, i suffer pleaurisy and pneumonia with less and less time between having them at the minute i have p&p attack me about 4 times a year and last 3-5 weeks a time, i suffer migraines that blind me i dont know who i am and feel vunerable which then leads to anxiety and depression and a few other conditions but according to DLA i dont fulfil thier criteria for anything to be awarded ,

ive tried my own MP who told me he doesnt deal with DLA claims and ive just recieved a letter saying they accept im appealling again i will hear something again withn the next 3 months , my own doctor is fuming about it and complained about them wanting to send an atos doctor whom by the way last time an atos doctor came to see me, in his report he claimed i ran fleetinly up 2 flights of stairs , i only had one flight of stairs and 12 stairs to be precise, he then started questioning my depression and anxiety and said maybe if i had a few more freinds i would be fine, wrong the things i used to enjoy like bowlling, cinema, yoga etc i cannot physically do

i complained about the atos doctors report as part of the way through it he started addressing me as someone else and had already filled in most of the form before he got to mine, he didnt see me get up the stairs and his report was a load of crap, asking me to lie down and lift my right leg then left leg and sqweeze his fingers doenst constitute a decision on my disability yet his report still gets refered too, yet i have a medical report from a top guy in rheumatology who says i have fibro in 16 out of 18 points in my body and this is completely ignored , so my doctor said she will write to dla for them to wise up

like ive said previously im attending hydrotherapy and a pain management clinic and i dont know how much longer i can continue to fight this

hi all i originally put in a claim for DLA in march 07 despite having 2 tribunal meetings it was still rejected i took it to the courts who over turned the tribunal decision and back to the appeals i went

my last tribunal appeal was sept 10 and yet again it was dismissed they told me i could not use that claim again and had to place in a new one but i back dated it to 07 and they have refused it again due to me not attending a medical i called them to argue i never got the letter for the doctor arriving so they have now put it back onto appeal i want to know how long does all this take i was told it would be approx 6 months maybe a year it has now been since aug 07 and all i seem to be doing is appealing turning up being told my claim has been dismissed and i appeal again

ive read oter people on here have fibromyalgia i have this in 16 points in my body, ive had surgery to see if it was my bones instead carpul tunnel surgery i have hydrotherapy and attend a pain mangagement clinic and many medical issues and other conditions that others have mentioned yet im still waiting im still appealling i have no energy left to fight this

has anyone else waited years for this to be done as everytime i complain i seem to be put to the back of the to do list

alison

update on my DLA and guess what its been dismissed again so guess what appealling again, they stated going on my doctors report i apparently have a full and active social life which is news to me being house bound and news to my doctor who told them im house bound , and because i can make a meal for one and take a tablet im fit and well and not entitled to anything, i dont make meals as my carer makes and leaves me a sandwich during the day and she gives me my tablets as i either forget to take it or take tom many as i forget if ive taken them and forget to eat unless its left out for me so yet again 5th appeal now for me and instructing a solicitor to step in as i cant fight this anymore on my own
