Just for clarification, as you rightly say a Tribunal is a Court of Law, but an informal one. There is no 'dock', The Tribunal Members just sit at a table, with the panel at one side and the appellant, their representative ( if they have one) and friend or family member ( if they're present) at the other side.
A Tribunal's role is 'inquisitorial', which means the appellant can expect to be asked questions, and vice versa. This is totally different to criminal courts who's role is adversarial.
Hope this is of assistance.

I did not mean in the dock as such .. and with regards questions I would expect the tribunal to ask inquisitorial .. but I take it your rep can use leading questions ???
