ESA and learning disability was created by suec

My daughter has learning disabilities. She has not been called for a review yet but I am concerned that when she is she will not understand the questions and may give answers that will not reflect her difficulties. Will I be able to accompany her and answer questions for her.
I know a lot of parents have this worry

Hi Suec

You are entitled to accompany your daughter into the medical room, but the HCP will want to ask your daughter the questions and hear her answers. You can of course add anything you wish to say in addition to your daughters answers or correct any incorrect information given.

The HCP's handbook, which you can find in the members' area, advises HCP's to take note of any useful information given by a companion but not to let a companion answer all the questions or become too assertive.

Good luck when the time comes.
