'Official error' to make DWP redecide revision?

CAB was pre WW2 set up by UK Social Services by the end of the war they where down to less than a 1/5 the number till recent times they where funded by the goverenment and only in very recent times have they got full charity status and self fund I doubt any are still funded by central funds
they are also all independent but have rules and guidelines they must stick to
If they were funded by the government then doesn't that make them 'officials' still?
"There is documentary or other written evidence of your entitlement that the DWP,local authority or the Revenue had, but failed to give to the decision maker dealing with your claim when the earlier decision was made."
Or is it whether or not they got central or local funds, is it that they were a local authority but not anymore?

It's not about funding, I'm afraid. The DWP, local authority and HMRC are all bodies that make decisions about benefits entitlement. CABx don't have any role in making decisions.

They dont get any money other that what they raise now they are all (each office) seperate charites that come under the umbrella of the main body/charity I think all they get from that is access to a single computer system
as steve says they dont make decisions but i think what should be pointed out they do lobby and give advice and input to all the bodies mentioned

So what is the local authority? my CPN? GP? mental health team?
I hope the fact that the CAB decided to closed my case in January won't affect their ability to write a covering letter?

Your local Authority is another name for your local Council, they are responsible for Housing and Council Tax Benefits. So what is the local authority?

I doubt lodging a complaint to CAB would really help your case,I would submit your copy of the letter to the tribunal service as soon as able and ask the CAB for a covering letter to say that the information should have been made available before. If the information is that substansive then there is always a possibility that the DWP would change there mind. If not then it will be taken into consideration for your appeal.
Whats the hurry? will they make a sooner decision?
