Hi
I also have FM, my diagnosis was extremely thorough and took 8 yrs, I was referred to different specialties eg, ENT, Gen Med, Neuro, and finally my diagnosis was made by a lovely Rheumatologist.
Diagnosis of FM is one of excluding all other illnesses such as MS and Myositis etc.
I would advise you to go on FMA UK website too. They have a great forum and I've been in and out of there for the past 2-3 years.
I was actually awarded DLA before I had a diagnosis as the DWP want to know how your illness, whatever it is, affects your day-to-day life. I have also since been diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis.

See you there!

Hi Tattie
You don't have to pay to use the forum on FMAUK, and you don't have to give any 'real' info on your identity either. I use another user name, and I just put that I'm from west Wales, which I am.
All you really need to have is a user name!
Give it a try, nothing to lose. You can find out a lot about FM, and you can ask other contributors questions on what medication they find suits them, what exercise, if any, you find helpful etc, etc.
