Due to illness can I ask for home visit was created by Fleur33
Hi,
I am in receipt of SDA and even though they are suppose to be leaving SDA claimants until the last, to medical, I am still not convinced this will happen!I am wondering if it would be possible, when I do receive a letter requesting me for a medical, if I can choose another job center plus, other than my local one? Or a home visit? I have a problem with my bowel. Stress will make this worse, I am too afraid of having a bowel accident in a place where I know people, as you can understand this is very embarrassing and humiliating.I have a consultants report with his diagnosis would this suffice? I also would like to know if it is the same medical at home, as what takes place in a job center plus? Many thanks as always for your advice and help.

Yes, you can ask for an alternative centre or even a home visit, although the latter is very difficult to arrange.
There are no significant differences in the medical if it is held at home, the only thing of note is that the ATOS "doctor" will use paper rather than a computer to record what happens.
