Thanks X-FACTOR,
I missed the age condition protection too,i know it has been decreasing for some years now.Every penny counts.
It's not only the big issues that do not get enough support it's the little extras as you say that people forget or don't think about.
So living off savings or other partners income we loose again because we cannot get help with prescriptions, dental care, that's if we would have qualified for ESA[IR] and we might just be a couple of £s over any help! How annoying. All because we are too ill/disabled too work.

If the change becomes law, and is not modified, then we are looking at hundreds of thousands of households facing hardship, the safety net of savings being swept away, many relationships will flounder, and countless potential consequences, such as debts, rent arrears, mortgage arrears
It is in effect going to deprive perhaps
half a million people of close to £100 a week, and the number affected is larger because it impacts on their household and not only them

But those that do not get any benefits, unless partners/family are involved.Do not understand that they could be in the very same situation.
After all it does not affect them so why might they need to think of the consequences and certain people will never not have enough money to live on even if they loose their job.]
Of course there are some who say 'i'm healthy it will never happen to me'.
