DLA result! was created by slaphead666
Just wanted to say a huge "THANK YOU" to benefits and work for the excellent PDF guides to claiming DLA.
Although it was a re-claim, we followed the guide closely, and whereas we had medium care and low mobility on the last claim (for 2 years)we now receive high care and low mobility for our son Barry, who has Asperger's syndrome and A.D.H.D.,both moderately severe. Also, unlike last time, we've been awarded DLA for Barry right up to his 18th birthday (He's 15 tomorrow!). The money spent on membership at benefits and work is very good value, and well worth the outlay.
Also, we sent in the re-claim form and had a "receipt of claim" letter 2 days later. 2 days after that, we received the letter saying claim successful! After my past dealings with the men in suits, I was amazed at the speed of this, surely it must be close to a record?
