DLA Application Success

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my good news. In February I applied for DLA for my 8 month old son who has a rare bone condition. Well I received his award letter today and am very pleased to report that he has been awarded higher rate care for a period of 5 years!

I am absolutely astounded at the outcome. I had fully expected to receive no award and was already preparing to appeal the decision so to find out he has been awarded the maximum amount and for a period of 5 years is an amazing result. Over the moon doesn't even describe how I feel.

I am in no doubt at all that this amazing outcome is largely a result of the support and advice provided by this website. Your guides are so helpful and gave me an amazing insight into the application process, which ultimately resulted in this very positive outcome. Fingers crossed my luck will carry through to my own application - now I just need to get the thing written and submitted!
