Success at appeal! was created by jkw10
Hello everybody,

I had my tribunal today (0 pts from the WCA for CFS/ME and depression) after waiting 6 months for a hearing.

I had assistance from FRU and my local CAB - and this website of course!

I won my appeal and was put in the support group as a result of being awarded an exemption. This was because I had been suffering from suicidal feelings that the ATOS report did not mention at all.

Fortunately my GP wrote a letter to say I'd had my medication doubled as a result. My Mum also wrote a letter stating this also.

I very nearly gave up at the last hurdle because I had to negotiate a lot of obstacles along the way and was exhausted and very despondent. I hope this gives other people some hope that they can win on appeal, too.

Best of luck to all of you out there - on a cheery note, I'll probably get called back for a WCA in a couple of months.....

Jx

Hi jkw10
Absolutely brilliant news for you & all of us with CFS/ME. Very few claimants with CFS/ME get enough points for the WRAG so to be placed in the support group is fantastic. Having said that I know you said you have felt suicidal & I sincerely hope having got through this your mental health will improve. Enjoy your success.
Best wishes
maggie
