as you know I applied for Care component. Received letter late last week advising receipt of form and up to 11 weeks for a decision.
Got another letter this morning apologising that they have not been able to make a decision yet and that they have written to my doctor for information.
Now, the problem I have is that I have just changed GP practices and have a new GP. Will / Should the 'old' GP fill the forms in (if he doesn't refuse) and should I tell the DWP that I have recently changed GP practices?
Same happened to me just recently. My previous GP always wanted a copy of the dla forms so I did the same with the new GP. The forms were sent off and dwp requested info from the new GP. He asked me to make an appointment with him and he filled it in in about an hour. I did phone the receptionist and asked her what questions the dwp were looking to get answered and I had filled in the form fully, they just wanted verification from the GP. Just got the same award as last time found out today and both have been made indefinate. I also did not see a dla GP.
