I apologise if this is an inappropriate query.
I receive IB & DLA, to be reviewed this month. I have a friend who shares my house and acts as an unofficial live in carer. Yesterday someone from the DWP visited and asked such Q''s as do we share the same bedroom (no) , bathroom (yes) bank account (no) and about 1 hour of further Q'ing. I have never had this before. Is it new policy? Will the decision arrived at affect my benefits? I simply told it as it is & await the outcome, but am rather anxious. The DWP rep gave a leaflet re appeal proceedure, & I don't think I could face that route
ps one Q that baffled me was "do my neighbours consider my friend & I to be a couple" I have no idea & am not inclined to ask them

If the DWP decide that you are living together as husband and wife then this could affect your benefits. It's not something we can advise on, but it would be worth contacting a local advice agency which has a welfare rights worker.

Just 'googled' for LTAHAW and it seems this means 'Living Together As Husband And Wife'.

All these abbreviations are becoming a nightmare to make sense of- well that's my opinion anyway.

Agree. I didn't know what it meant either, but this one is particularly stupid, as it's an abbreviation of a complete sentence.
