Has anyone had an ATOS home medical and sucessfully had the whole session officially recorded on the official machine as per the ones used in the Atos examination shops ?

The reason I ask is that ATOS wanted me to spend several hours travelling and also to climb up two flight of stairs for a medical related to a pensionable war injury .
The GP took one look at two of my recent Mri scan reports and that of numerous previous ones and told ATOS there is now way I can do their request .... ? can it be done atmy home .

Knowing only too well from the past 34 years of being disabled , its left a very masty taste in my mouth that's for sure wrt my bitter experience at such medicals and the reports etc
The vast amount of information offered at medicals was not in the reports or had been overridden /ignored by the doctor making the report.

Years later I discovered that there are big gaps in almost everything or massive inaccuracies and I'm made out to be a cheat /liar etc. etc .

Gaining an appeal has frequently allowed this to be rectified but now ATOS are in the frame I want to make sure my family get a fair & honest deal this first time this time round.

I have written and paid for recorded delivery of all letter to ATOS ( kept ctc copies as well )appointments including two where I ask for a sound recording to be made as per advice found elsewhere in this site.

So far I have only had a letter cancelling the original appointment but a deafening silence wrt the sound recordings.

Whilst you should most certainly continue with your attempts to have your medical recorded, I do have to warn you that I am only aware of three occurrences where this has actually happened, and all of these have been at ATOS medical centres.

It is entirely legal for you to covertly record the medical, however, there are issues should you decide you need to use it as evidence, which may prevent such use. Also, if the ATOS HCP finds you doing it, they will terminate the medical immediately.

Sorry there is not better news on this subject.

The only thing I can think of that would prevent a recorded medical at home that was agreed to take place at a medical centre, is lack of an electricity supply to your home.

So will it be still legsal to end up with me getting two laptop PC's set up for recording , one in the lounge and the other in bedroom .
Maybe with the cam corder on the remote control in the bed room and web cams recording on both machines.

My " friend " , ( well what's the name of that guy in the Guardian ) ..perhaps they will contact me ???
Make the recording and them send a referenced certified & witnessed true copy recorded conversations to the asssessors .

Do any of you have knowledge as to the addresses of where the assessments are made /
This one is a paid war pensionable injury but I suspect I'll get the whole works and also be assessed on a spinal crippler of 15 years later and the numerous problems that have arisen since collecting the spinal injury currently I'm classed as 56 % wrecked for the spinal jobby and 22% for the war wound.
Totally affective problems making 78%

I did write that there would be problems presenting these tapes as evidence, one of them is that you cannot legally disclose the contents to a third party. without the agreement of all those involved in the recording, which of course includes the HCP.

You could present a full, and it would have to be full (including any bits that are not in your favour), written transcript.
