There must be lots of appeals at the moment because i have been waiting for a paper hearing since november. I understand that paper hearings are done 'when there is a gap in the calender' does this mean if an appeal is cancelled at short notice the panel will do a paper one? /my appeal is for DLA, are all appeals done together, ie, DLA and ESA
There are variances in timescale from area to another, for example, for Oral hearings there are some areas which are still be heard within six months, whereas there are others that are well in excess of 12.
This will have a knock on effect to Paper hearings, I think there ae currently in excess of 30,000 appeals outstanding.
