cmarie510 - I followed the DLA application form. I kept the 4 steps infront of me at all times, made a copy of the form & copied notes from the guidance onto each question. I think it's easy to fall into the sympathy trap & I had to keep reminding myself this is not a sympathy benefit but one that is for care needs so I kept to the bare facts. I did answer every question in full details & as far as I know my GP & Consultant gave me full backing. It did take an awful long time & I also took regular breaks from it as, again. it's easy to tire & start to rush or take short-cuts. My advice is if you start feeling like that - close the form & don't start again until you're feeling ready to give it your full attention once more.

Many congratulations, Marie - your post is very very encouraging to other renewees like myself who've just joined W&B...

Hope you take the time to give yourself a hewge pat on the back plus treats for battling through that form =:o0 to get what you deserve.

Best wishes :o)

Take care!
