I was just wondering... I had an ATOS medical in November 2010 after which I received a letter placing me in the WRAG, after the medical had taken place, and believe it or not was actually not a bad experience although very exhausting, I did not have a WFHRA, I did read that they where cutting back on these but was wondering if there would be another reason as during the medical which was with a doctor he decided not to put me through the tests after reading my medical reports as he felt they could compromise my medical condition. I don't know how many points I scored, enough for WRAG but also don't know how long it will be in place for, am I able to find out this info?
Many thanks

If you are in the WRAG then you are required to attend WFIs, however, there does appear to be a government re-think on how these should be run, so this is possibly the reason no one has approached you, I am afraid it will have nothing to do with any comments the ATOS doctor made.

You can request your medical report from the DWP just by giving them a ring, it is usually possible to figure out how many points you scored from this.

Most WRAG members are being re-assessed every 6-12 months.

Hope this helps

Gordon

Hi Gordon
I am attending Pathways interviews atm but have had a letter about the possible change of provider, I have 4 more to go. I assume that if I am reassessed in the 6 month slot I will be notified a few weeks in advance. It,s acually not a bad thing as health has deteriorated since origional medical but I did not want to risk losing WRAG ESA by notifying DWP of any changes ie: have become more immobile and meds to contol heart probs are not working, have kept all evidence and letters in advance of a potential recall for assessment, so I will wait until I hear from them.

Hi,

WFHRA's have been suspended for the next few years - nobody has them anymore.

You can ask for a copy of your medical report which wil tell you how long the health professional reccomended it should be before you are reassesed.

Good luck,

Steve

For anyone else who gets perplexed with these abbreviations - WFHRA means work-focused health-related assessment.

This is not in the B&W spotlight list - well I looked and looked and couldn't find it, so I did a 'google' and found it. :(
