DLA Appeal was created by rioruss
Hi all, i have my DLA tribunal on Friday , i have all my medical notes from the doctoer and the appeal pack and a fab letter from my gp supporting the claim, ( i have already sent all these off to the tribunal services)
I am dreading it, i have a friend who is driving me and coming in with me for support.
What sort of questions should i expect and are they likely to ask my friend any too?

They will primarily ask you about your disabilities and how they affect you, much as you will have written in your DLA papers.

It would be unusual, but not impossible for the Tribunal to address some questions to your companion.

In regards to my tribunial for DLA they asked my care co ordinator what level of care and mobility i should get and to my mum who was with me what would happen if they did not award me DLA, she said give up work and look after me. there were four people on the panel and you sit at a table in front of them. I wish you all the luck in the world. Hope it goes well for you. Jasmine

Hi Rioruss

The Clerk to the tribunal who will speak to you before the hearing will probably ask if your friend is a witness or there for support.

If your friend knows you well and is willing to comment about your disability, you can say that your friend is there as a witness and would like to speak. The tribunal will still be asking you questions but it can help to give the tribunal evidence from somebody else's perspective.

Good luck

Derek
