Medical Retirement Certificate was created by pete1
Hello folks,
I was medically retired 6 years ago and i was wondering if i should include a copy of my medical retirement certificate when i send back my completed DLA form. Would this help my claim as there is evidence on the certificte of my disabilities.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid without seeing the certificate, no one here can give specific advice on whether to send it, however, if you think it helps to support your case, then include it.
I'd be inclined to make reference to it in the application, perhaps mentioning what you are enclosing it to show.

The reason why i thought it may be helpful is that it states that on the certificte that i am being retired, because of the disabling effects of the disability that i am claiming DLA for.

Always remember its not the illness/disability that gets you your claim but how it affects you with regarding what you can and cannot do, this is in the set criteria that the DWP work to.
Always look in the guides on this site as to how the system works.
