Hi All,
Think I have my work cut out fo me after reading some invaluable stuff here but I am so glad to get constructive help at last.
I have 3 tribunals coming up. ESA,DLA and Industrial Injuries. I doubt I will get anywhere with the ESA (contributions) I was wrongly diagnosed with soft tissue injury (pelvis) and 'not so' bad back. My pelvic injuries (a fall) did not include any fracture so would get better in 12 months, so I was told.
I had been on the sick (9 months) and was made redundant (MFI) so I claimed JSA but told them maybe part time work would suit because of my pain issues.
I hoped that my redundancy + JSA would see me thru until recovered or I got a job, but I just didn't get any better.
I have now been diagnosed (last June, 2 yrs later) with sciatica, pudendal and gluteal neuralgia from pelvic entrapment and sacroliliac joint dysfunction (SIJD)
My entrapment problems are fairly uncommon, it's been a huge battle to get a proper diagnosis and now I have to do battle with DWP. No one has a clue or even seems to believe me, they refer to my back all of the time and although I have a back history (successful microdiscectomy 8 yrs ago) There isn't much wrong there.
So by the time I realised I was stuck like this I hadn't enough contributions to qualify BUT they still gave me a medical, I got 0 points.
They used this result to turn down my DLA application (I often can not walk at all, never mind severe discomfort)
Does anyone think I should give up with the ESA(they told me I was a housewife!) and just write a strongly worded letter to my MP. That seems like giving up to me.
It's now 3 years since my accident (still no better) and I have to wait until at least May for a tribunal.
Any help or comments apreciated while I try and pick the ESA medical to pieces.
Many Thanks,
Helen

I take it that they are allowed to use my nil points ESA medical for DLA dumping purposes?
