So you have the medical and they say you aren't fit to work but you're fit enough to prepare for work and put you in WRAG. After a year you're still not fit enough to be placed on JSA but your CB WRAG is means tested and your benefit stops. At that point do they also stop crediting your NI or do pay for it yourself - I mean it's not like they're giving you anything else but do they hit you with a double whammy and make you pay for your own stamp?

Thanks.

I am afraid that if you do not satisfy the ESA(IR) means test then you eligibility to receive ESA ceases.

So yes, you would have to buy your own NI Credits.

Wow! It could argued that if you are not entitled to any benefits and you have to buy your own NI Credits as far as the government is concerned you don't really exist. I'm assuming you are still eligible for NHS health care etc.
