Well I never! was created by pikelet
Submitted ESA50 last December, DM asked for info from psychiatrist who sent my case notes to them. Been awaiting a call for a medical with some trepidation, but have heard nothing.
Today I have received a decision from DWP: will be continuing in the WRAG.
It says that my case is due for review 29/4/2012. As I am on Contributory ESA and have savings, that will be that in terms of benefit.
Of course, I followed B & W guidance in completing the form. So many many thanks!
Best!

Hi pikelet
Well done for securing you ESA award, albeit for just over a year.

Hi Pikelet, so glad you didn't have to go through a medical or appeal!
Congratulations!

Thanks.
I was expecting it to go:
medical
found capable of work
appeal
decision upheld
as I don't have much more supporting evidence to supply.
Luckily I have enough contribution years for my state pension, due in 4 years.
The Welfare Rights person who came to a meeting I went to the other week said some decisions were currently being made without a medical. I suspect a backlog is the cause of my good fortune.
