Hi Cookie

You can phone Tribunals Service and ask to switch to a paper hearing (you may need to confirm it in writing) but I would urge you to attend if at all possible.

Hearings are often not as nerve-racking as people expect, and if they can see your condition for themselves the may have a better understanding of your circumstances.

I wish you the best of luck, whatever you choose to do.

Derek

Hi cookie, did you manage to get any worthwhile help from the welfare advice people in the end or are you going it alone?

Just to reassure you, I didn't have any help apart from the lovely folks on this site/forum and I went from 6 to 18 points at appeal.

I know it's not much comfort when you are still waiting to go through it. My friend drove in with me and waited for me which was a great help; could someone go with you?

Wishing you all the best and I really hope you win.

Rachel

Hi Rachel.
thanks for giving me some hope.Congrats on your sucessI have a represetative comong with me.But the rep hasn't really advised me.Just said I will see you at the tribunal. So fingers crossed.
Its just i wish i knew what kind of questions I will be asked?
I read somewhere they want you to tell them what you have done for the last 7 days. not easy when you have bad memory due to cfs.
Thanks again

Hi cookie, regarding what you did in the last 7 days, I can only tell you about my experience.

Nearly every week is the same and I can only do one thing each day and this is what I told them.

ie; Mon bit of housework, Teus shopping delivered, Weds 2hrs at college etc.

Best of luck on Thursday,
Rachel
