thank you for your replies, the doctor is writing osteoarthritis of the neck, which is my biggest problem as it causes tremdous pain in my shoulder and arm, it was diagnosed by xray, its a very long standing problem, but has now got to the stage where when ever i use my arm i am in tremdous pain, with headaches etc. i also have it in my hips and poss knees, wrists etc. i know what u mean about the cold even a light summer breeze can wreck. i will follow eveyones advice as it is invaluable cheers

If your doc isnt aware yet that the letter he writes may not be used at the medical, but it will be used at the Appeal, then you should enlighten him, or change to another doctor. Or do you have a consultant? Or a legal representative as I suggested earlier? Unfortunately, it took me 18 months to realise that just little me wasnt enough to navigate the complexity of the ESA application and medicals. It isnt a question of how ill you are, but how it is interpreted and in the way that fits the criteria set down by the DWP and this is why you need expert help. I do hope you get it. Good luck!
