DLA Award was created by Elizabeth Roche
I have just received my new award for DLA, (I am an avid follower of this site although have never posted anything before)

I followed the advice given, filled in the form in stages, submitted the appropriate form to my GP. Kept a copy of the completed form. As I have M.E. the form took longer to fill in than the alloted six weeks. I rang the DLA and told them and explained why. Finally posted it off eight weeks ago and waited with bated breath. Having heard so many horror stories of people's claims being rejected and stopped I was worried.

I have a back injury as the result of an Industrial accident, which has left me with extensive nerve damage, mobility problems as well as Urinary Incontinence. I also have M.E. which affects my memory, and ability to function in a "normal" way. A combination of nerve pain muscular and joint pain means I am on some heavy medication. I noted all these facts where it asked for additional information, My daughter wrote in as someone who knows me well and listed my care needs as well as mentioning my concentration and poor memory problems.

I have been re-awarded my DLA at the same rate as before, Low rate Care, High rate mobility, this is an Indefinite award!! I had hoped with the information given I might get Mid rate care, however I am more than happy with what I have got!

So I just want to say "Thank You" to everyone involved in the Running of this site, the information given has helped me enormously and I know I would not have been successful without your help.

Rosella  :woohoo:
