Work Focused Interview.I am on DLA low rate care, high rate mobility besides i have limited sight for 6 hours a day.I have renal failure and am diabetic. My partner is a full time care for me and i claim income support for her.She has to attend a work focused interview that came out of the blue.
How best to prepare what questions are likely what evidence can she take of me regards care and medical problems. Can i get a set questionaire. Can i accompany her
as she is very shy and will be unable to
to speak up for her self. What is the main purpose of this interview.

Work-focused interviews for partners of Income Support claimants can be held after 26 weeks of a claim.

If you refer to the work resources section and scroll down, there is a guide entitled "Knowing your rights at Pathways to Work Interviews" which may be helpful for your partner. It can be accessed HERE.

There is no reason why you can't accompany her to the interview, although she will be expected to answer the questions. As for evidence of your medical condition and care requirements, if you have a care plan from social services this may be useful, otherwise you partner can tell the personal adviser of your medical condition and care needs at the interview.
